Collection of Galle and Lalique glass comes to auction

A superb collection of art glass will be offered by Thomas Watson in ther Fine Sale on Tuesday, 24th February 2015.

The collection, consigned by a North-East family, features many fine examples of cameo glass by the French artist Emile Galle. Galle was one of the major driving forces of the French Art Nouveau movement. Lot 227, which is pictured below, is decorated with Iris and has the sought after fire polished glaze.
